Born and Raised in Ottawa Ontario, Executive Chef Doug Hyndford worked around Canada working as a line cook in Toronto, Montreal, Kingston, Vancouver, Victoria, and the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia. He now is the Executive Chef of the Saskatoon Inn and Conference Centre.
Doug trained in classical French Haute Cuisine at the Pacific Institute of the Culinary Arts on Granville Island in Vancouver B.C. After his graduation of the Pacific Institute of the Culinary Arts, Doug was successful in obtaining his Red Seal Certification, and then went on to complete the prestigious designation of Certified Chef de Cuisine. Chef Doug Hyndford is an active member of the Canadian Culinary Federation (CCFCC) and works tirelessly in the community promoting the Culinary Arts, and mentoring up and coming chefs in Saskatoon.
Doug's culinary philosophy reflects the growing trend of locally sourced food items, working with local producers to get the food from “the gate to the plate”.
